Hey everybody! It's that time again!
I fail. Last Friday I didn't play, but I'm back, baby!
Here we go!
- IZ started preschool this week.
- It was weird.
- He didn't even say goodbye!
- I took him in, got him set up and off he went.
- I suppose it's better than him clinging to my ankle
- begging me not to leave him
- but I mean come on!
- Four years, kid! Four years of me and you!
- Throw me a bone here and at least acknowledge me with a little wave.
- I may or may not have cried as little bro and I drove home.
- Seeing his empty car seat as I walked out to the car.
- Whatever.
- So I was totally excited to pick him up and hear all about his day.
- First day of the rest of his life.
- First day without Mommy there to help him.
- First day on his own, dealing with life.
- I asked him what he did, to tell me all about it.
- His response?
- "Oh, nothing."
- Come on, baby. Tell me what you did today!
- "I don't know."
- Seriously! It happens already?!
- I thought this crap didn't start until he was a teenager!
- I finally got some stuff out of him.
- You know, riding bikes, having snacks and coloring.
- If that takes two and a half hours, then I got the full story.
- But I have a sneaking suspicion I'm missing something.
- Oh well.
- I guess I'll just do stuff on my own and not tell HIM about it.
- Ha! That'll show him!
- Sadness.
- I cut my hair this week.
- It feels so dang good!
- 11 inches gone!
- Well, not gone gone.
- It's still sitting on my desk.
- I'm sending it to Locks of Love.
- Creepy as it is to have hair sitting there looking at you
- I am really excited about it.
- I have styled my hair three times now.
- That's about three times more than I've styled it in three months.
- I feel like a human again.
- Not an animal or dirty hippie.
- I love it.
- LOVE IT!
- And it's by no stretch of the imagination short.
- It's still to my bra strap.
- But man oh man.
- I needed it.
- This is the first time since I was 14 that I have had completely virgin hair.
- Virgin meaning no color, no chemicals.
- All natural, baby.
- The first time my husband has seen my natural hair color.
- I think he's disappointed I'm a little ginger.
- Not a lot, but it's definitely in there.
- I'm a natural auburn.
- It explains the temper, that's for sure!
- I'm reading a book about how to choose the sex of your baby.
- I want a girl, dang it!
- But apparently it's way WAY complicated.
- Making boys is much easier, according to said book.
- Taking temperatures and charting and analyzing
- There's got to be an easier way!
- How do you people do it!
- Dang boys anyway.
- All they do is break you heart!
- You know, especially when they run off to preschool without even a kiss.

My three year old did the same thing at pre-school. Never looked back.
Only way I get him to talk about it is by asking specific questions like Did you have circle time today? Did you talk about the weather? Did you talk about the calendar? Did the teacher read a story?...
Oops Bubby clicked on Publish, I bet you feel so much better loosing over 11 inches. I so need to cut mine.
Don't you just love a new cut. I chopped mine a few months ago. Already I'm thinking of growing it back out. That's me...always want what I don't have. Typical.
I'm thinking about growing mine back out. I like the shorter cut but it doesn't get back out of the way as easily. And little boys, yep heartbreakers.
Thats a lot of hair!!! And it sounds like the little ones are growing up!
My daughter started school this year and I was a wreck for 3 days..Im better now though. She could really take it or leave it!
New follower! Great confessions!
