Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Hello again, pals!  Come here often?
Yeah, me either.
But its Friday again,
and that means it's time for me to dump my baggage on you.
Sorry about that.
You may leave now if you feel so inclined.
But here we go.

I confess...
  • I'm de-stressing.
  • I'm de-stressing my life.
  • I mean, I know thats a good thing to do in general.
  • But my weekly baby growing email told me this week,
  • And I quote,
  • "Stress during pregnancy is quite literally BAD for your baby's developing brain. It's time to clean out the toxic relationships and situations in your life for your sake and your child's sake."
  • So bye bye drama!
  • I'm peacing out!
  • At least for the next few months anyway.
  • If you're gonna start something with me
  • I'll be the one walking the other way.
  • If I have any toxic relationships
  • Consider them dissolved.
  • Here's to a more peaceful life.
  • Can't wait.
  • My phone sucks.
  • Apparently my brothers have been trying to call me
  • And it doesn't even ring.
  • Or it doesn't show up as a missed call unless they leave me a voice mail.
  • Lame.
  • I swear I'm not screening ALL my calls!
  • :)
  • Can't wait to get new phones,
  • Which is supposedly going to be any day.
  • Just waiting on them to get here...
  • But the moral of the story is if you call and I don't answer
  • LEAVE A MESSAGE.
  • At least I'll know you called!
  • Stinking phone.
  • I've got a bad problem.
  • It's called I want to make everything under the sun for this little bundle in the tummy.
  • I read my favorite crafty blogs and am constantly finding cute things that she NEEDS!!
  • I had to go buy fabric because I couldn't contain myself anymore.
  • I'm currently making one of these
  • I'm almost done.
  • Pictures to come, I promise.
  • I've also become a crazy lady with a list of things that have to be done before June.
  • Like we need to paint the stairway.
  • And build a wall in the family/dining room.
  • And get a bunk bed.
  • And finish my other baby's baby book.
  • Oh man.
  • What was it I was saying about de-stressing?!
  • I can't get my brain to stop moving.
  • Maybe I should make a list and that way it will be out of the old noggin.
  • The hubby will be here on weekends here in a few weeks.
  • Let the renovations commence says I!
  • I make a great foreman.
  • Not by my choice, of course.
  • If it were up to me I'd be out there right now tearing down old paneling and building me a wall as we speak.
  • Oh well.
  • Belly rules the world these days.
  • And I do love it.

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Oh sweet Friday, how I have grown to dislike you.  It's not your fault, Friday, please don't take it personally.  It's just that another Friday means another weekend of absent husband, which means boo.
Don't worry, Friday, I can be a bit fickle.
We'll be best friends again in about 4 weeks.
Until then, here's another sad and lonely confession.

I confess...
  • I am emotionally and physically drained.
  • The last two weeks have been some for the record books.
  • On a happy note, though, no sick kids.
  • So it's not been all bad!
  • But I am ready for a stress and drama free week.
  • Here's hoping.
  •  We hosted a Super Bowl party this year.
  • We had a few friends over
  • It was a total good time.
  • Laid back and fun.
  • And oh the food!
  • I's still carrying around the food baby.
  • On top of the real baby.
  • That's a lot of babies.
  • Seriously though, we had enough food to feed double the people we had.
  • And it was delicious.
  • This weekend marks week 5 of Thor's weekly trips to the capitol city.
  • 3 more to go!
  • And then he's mine again.
  • Well, mine and Wal-mart's.
  • Technicalities.
  • At least he'll be in town.
  • And in my bed at nights.
  • Easy, pervs.  He keeps the place warm.
  • He's like my own personal space heater.
  • Awesome.
  • Would ya like to know what's also awesome?!
  • Um, how about a Three Days Grace concert next month!
  • That's right, y'all.
  • I'll be the pregnant one dancing in the family section.
  • You know, the section that they don't allow smoking and alcohol.
  • Yeah, I know.  I'm totally hip.
  • Come on!  I LOVE them.
  • And they'll be two hours away.
  • And tickets were $27!!
  • $27 people!!
  • Well, plus fees and crap.
  • But still.
  • Whatever, judge me if you will.
  • But I haven't been to a concert since we moved from Utah.
  • And that's coming up on 4 years ago.
  • Blerg.
  • Can't believe it's been that long!
  • Aw I can't wait.
  • PLUS I get to go with my hubby!!
  • And some friends!
  • I know, hard to believe,
  • but I DO in fact have friends.
  • And we do things too!
  • I know, compare your lives to me and be super jealous.
  • Or not.
  • Either way, I'm still excited.
  • And tired.
  • Better start resting up now.
  • That concert could go well after 10 pm.
  • And as we all know, 10 pm is when I turn into a pregnant zombie.
  • Yeah, picture that.
  • Crazy hair, eyes at half mast, staggering around in my sweats.
  • You don't gotta tell me
  • GLAMOROUS
  • So watch out, Casper!
  • You're not gonna know what hit ya when this party animal rolls into town!

Friday Confessional

Friday Friday Friday!  I swear I'll be back doing more than just Fridays.  I swear.
Let's dive in here.

I confess...

  •  I'm basically ready to have a healthy household.
  • No really.
  • 3 weeks now we've been dealing with illnesses in one form or another.
  • I seem to have caught some kind of hybrid nastiness.
  • Sore throat, cough, runny nose, stinging sinuses, migraine and nausea with fever and chills.
  • Sounds freakin sweet huh?
  • I woke up this morning in a sweaty ball of awesomeness.
  • I'm basically over it, ready to be back to normal.
  • Because with Baby Belly, all I can take is Tylenol and Robitussin,
  • Which isn't doing much, thats for sure.
  • Lame.
  • Speaking of Baby Belly, I received probably the greatest news of my life this week.
  • I want to shout it from the rooftops while doing cartwheels.
  • We got to see Belly.
  • And Belly is FINE!!
  • I was super worried about it.
  • For the simple fact that I had my wisdom teeth out, was put out to do so, was on medication
  • And three days later found out I was preggo.
  • I was worried this babe would have a hand growing out of it's forehead or something.
  • I know, I know, there are women out there who do much worse than a few Lortab
  • but I was still worried.
  • And everything looks good.
  • And normal.
  • Didn't really want us taking a picture, kept it's hiding face.

  • Thats better.  Aw sweet little creepy baby face!!
  • And hey, the best news of all?!

  • That's right, folks.  That right there says "Looks like a GIRL"
  • A GIRL!!!
  • Um, I still feel like I'm dreaming.
  • I am so so happy and excited and gosh dang it!
  • Bows and tutus and nail polish and hair and skirts and cute shoes and makeup.
  • I CANNOT EVEN WAIT.
  • I feel as though I've been pregnant forever.
  • And I'm only halfway.
  • Oh I can't wait.
  • We were all so excited and surprised.
  • All except for Izacc.
  • He knew the whole time.
  • He told me there was a girl in my tummy before I got my wisdom teeth out.
  • Her name was Tinkerbell.
  • Then after while it changed to Isabella.
  • Then he called her Isabelly.
  • Then Bella.
  • Now Belly.
  • Which I thought was appropriate no matter the sex, because after all, it is MY belly.
  • But anytime I told him that we get to go to the Dr to find out what it was, he would look at me with annoyance and say, "Mom, I know it's a girl".
  • And that night, after we found out, I said, "Izacc!  You're going to have a little sister!!"
  • He just gave me a look and said, "Mom, I know."
  • Smart creepy kid.
  • So the moral of the story here is that as soon as I feel better, you can sure bet you butts that there will be a bazillion cute girly crafts coming your way!
  • And also I think maybe I need to listen to Izacc a little closer.
  • Who knows what else that kid knows!!

Friday Confessional

Here we are again.  Another week down the crapper.  Sorry to sound so, uh, down, but it's been another doosey.  Let's just get right to it.

I confess...

  • I am so SOO ready for spring.
  • Warm, sunshine, a husband that stays in town.
  • Ah yes it will be magical.
  • This single mama business is so not for me.
  • And I mean, I know it could be worse, right?
  • I have friends and family who's husbands are in the military and gone all the time,
  • Not just half the week, every week.
  • I don't mean to complain.
  • I guess it would be another story if the moolah was worth it.
  • But alas, he has to come home and off to his other job he goes.
  • Lame sauce.
  • I wish I could figure out what's making my kids turn into bodily wast factories.
  • Last week it was the little one.
  • This week it's the big one
  • And the little one.
  • I've done approx. 12 loads of laundry in the past week.
  • Whew I need a break.
  • A small mini vacation
  • Accepting any and all donations to the "keep mama sane" foundation
  • Ha ha wouldn't that be nice.
  • Did I tell you my hubby got me a Silhouette for Christmas??!!
  • Yeah he did.
  • He's pure awesomeness.
  • And I can't wait to start making stuff with it!
  • But first I need supplies
  • Vinyl, heat transfer, ect.
  • I'm really excited.
  • We cut out some letters for Izacc to make a sign.
  • It says, "Izacc transforms into Bumble Bee."
  • He's pretty much the coolest there is.
  • When he's not barfing in my hallway, that is.

Yes, friends, it's that time again.
I can't think of anything clever or witty to say right now.
Sorry.
Go visit Glamazon and Mamarazzi to join in this craziness.
It's really a lot of fun.

I confess...
  • This week is almost over and I couldn't be happier about it.
  • Thor has been gone since Monday.
  • MONDAY people.
  • He doesn't get back until tomorrow.
  • My life has been a mess since he left.
  • Oh I can hear it now.
  • AWWWW, so sweet.
  • No not like that kind of mushy crap
  • I mean it's been disgusting around here.
  • The baby spontaneously became a gross bodily fluids making machine.
  • It's not been very consistent.
  • He'll wake up in a mess.
  • Or barf on the kitchen floor.
  • I awoke this morning at 5 to a crib full of wonder and enchantment,
  • Of which I had to promptly throw him in the tub and start a load of laundry.
  • Good morning indeed.
  • I got my hair cut this week.
  • And by cut I mean CUT!
  • Yeah, it was nice.
  • I sort of love it.
  • And I'm a little alarmed at the lack of remorse I have for my long hair.
  • Usually there's at least some, you know.
  • I have yet to regret it
  • Which I think is fantastic
  • It's a cute a-line sort.
  • Oh and I colored it back to red.
  • I feel like I finally look the way I feel.
  • Does that make any sense?!
  • It's been fun and easy
  • Except for this morning
  • I cut some bangs, you see
  • And for some reason they will not behave.
  • So instead of looking like this:

  • I look like Mad Madam Mim.

{source}
  • I wish I was joking.
  • You can see the resemblance can't you!!
  • I can't get those bangs to lay down for anything.
  • Product, heat, wetting them down and starting over.
  • Oh boy.
  • I went to the Dr on Monday.
  • I gained 7 pounds.
  • *hangs head in shame*
  • I blame Christmas.
  • My appetite has returned and it's all I can do to keep from eating the entire house.
  • I mean, who's idea was that anyway?!
  • If I wanted to have a weekly weigh in I'd join Weight Watchers!
  • Gosh, at this rate I may have to!!
  • On a happier note, we get to find out what Isabelly is on the 26.
  • And the pressure is killing me.
  • Izacc is positive it's a girl.
  • I wish I was so sure.
  • I guess we'll see.
  • Alright, well, I need a nap.
  • And some lunch.
  • And to mail my nieces Christmas gift to her.
  • I suck at life sometimes.
  • But then again, maybe if I walked around looking like this:
{source}
  • People wouldn't have very high expectations of me anyway.
  • I may have stumbled onto something here...

Friday Confessional

Look!  A shiny new button!!  I loves it!
And I'm super glad it's Friday, I have a lot of things to get off my chest.

I confess...
  • Alright. I'm pregnant.
  • If you don't know this by now you obviously haven't been reading my blog.
  • Or my facebook statuses
  • Stati?
  • I don't know.
  • What's the plural of status?!
  • You do not frequent my facebook page.
  • Or you're living under a rock.
  • Or you don't really give two craps.
  • Either way, the deed is done and I am most definitely knocked up.
  • And I am still very sick.
  • I'm 17 weeks.
  • And I AM STILL VERY SICK.
  • Boo to this, I say.
  • Boo!
  • It comes and goes, this is true.
  • But with the other two I was done with this nonsense by week 13, maybe 14.
  • Also all of a sudden I am exhausted.
  • Not so much in the first trimester, mind you.
  • No, no.  Now I'm well into the "golden age" of pregnancy, when everything is supposed to be looking up
  • And I'm still nauseated and ready for bed at 7pm.
  • Boy howdy, I can't wait to see what else is in store.
  • Yikes. maybe I shouldn't put that out there.
  • ANYWAY
  • I am strangely drawn to Bruno Mars' music these days.
  • And when I say strangely drawn, I mean I freakin' can't get enough of the stuff!
  • Like that new song Grenade
  • I have no one in my life I feel this way about,
  • Negatively I mean,
  • And I could listen to this song all day, every day.
  • And he's got some pretty great other songs too.
  • Songs that are heartfelt
  • And super sweet
  • And fun.
  • But come on!
  • How could you not love a song with the lyrics,
  • "Tell the Devil I said 'hey' when you get back to where you're from"?!
  • Awesome.
  • I should really just go buy the freaking album
  • Instead of waiting for one to play on the radio or Pandora.
  • Yup, that's really what I do.
  • I'm awesome, in case you haven't discovered this already.
  • And by awesome, I mean lame.
  • BUT what are you gonna do?!
  • It's January, it's been below zero outside, and I'm cooped up,
  • Tired, getting fatter by the minute, and pretty darn nauseated.
  • Maybe I'll just hibernate til spring.
  • Oooh, yeah.
  • I'll leave the boys a pile of cereal, loaves of bread, and licorice.
  • They'll be totally fine.
  • Goodnight, y'all!

So you should totally go read this blog here and here.  It'll be fun and all the cool kids are doing it!!

Friday Confessional

Hey, how's it going?  It's been a week, that is for sure.  I'm ready to be done with it all right about now.  Whew!  Let's just dive in here:

  •  I was sick last week.
  • Okay, let me rephrase that.
  • I have had horrible morning sickness
  • you know, on account of the baby.
  • But then I caught a nasty little stomach bug.
  • Which made me even more sick.
  • And by even more sick I mean it was kinda like that scene from The Exorcist around here.
  • And I'm not talking when she turns her head all the way around.
  • Yeah, you know the one.
  • Ahem.
  • But seriously.
  • I was out for like three days.
  • Why is this important you ask?
  • I am so so far behind my Christmas schedule I seriously fear I won't get everything done in time.
  • That is a terrifying thought for me!
  • Every year it's the same old story
  • "I know, let's save some cash.
  • I'll be my cleaver, crafty self make make a bunch of presents"
  • Well this year my thriftyness has come up and bitten me in the arse.
  • No really, there's like 9 more days, people.
  • 9 days.
  • Thats all.
  • Game over.
  • Oh I suck at life sometimes.
  • At least we've got all the shopping done
  • well, except for stockings.
  • But that's Santa's job anyway, right folks?
  • Right?!  (wink wink)
  • Anyway boo for me losing 3 days back there.
  • I could have sure used them.
  • And another thing.
  • I don't mean to brag,
  • But I am almost positive I have the best friends on the planet.
  • I'm talking the best.
  • They keep me sane in all the craziness
  • and support me in all my endeavors
  • and just make me laugh and smile.
  • So thanks, friends.  I love ya.
  • And I want to get you all something pretty for Christmas.
  • It might be a tad late by the time I finish, but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?!
  • Right.
  • 9 days, folks.
  • Heaven help me.

Blast From the Past: MySpace Blog from 3/5/2008

I deleted my MySpace account awhile ago, but before I did I copied my blog posts from it. I mean, they must have meant something to me at some time or I wouldn't have posted them. I decided to post them here on my real life blog just to have the memory of a happier time...er, well a different time anyway. La la la, I know. Feel free to pass on these if you like, they're more for my sake than for yours. And I'm pretty sure I thought I was hilarious then too.  Yeah, sorry.

I love my life. I am so proud of the person I am, and for all the obstacles in my life that I have had to overcome to make me who I am today. I am honest and true and loyal and wiser for the ware, that's for sure.

I had a friend once, loved her to death. We were very close and I was so glad to have her in my life. She was like my only friend in town, someone I saw everyday. I mean, we were tight. Then she did something I didn't agree with and I let the offended party know about it. I was standing up for what I knew was right, and yet my friendship with this girl was over. She hated me and turned a lot of other people against me for doing something I thought was right. I miss her.

The pain and anguish I went through because of that I will never forget. I hated myself and then her and then I was mad and hurt and sad and it took me a LONG time to get over it. A long time.

I now find myself in the same awkward situation, the variables are different, but the same kind of situation. I know something she did, I think it was very, very wrong and could hurt a lot of people, including myself. I, however, will not be the one to let the offended party know. No, not this time. I still find myself at a loss. What do I do? Do I ignore the wrongdoing and still be the friend? Do I end the friendship completely? I have no idea what to to and I hate being in this spot.

Have you ever known someone where when they talk you need to be listening but as soon as you say something about yourself it's like talking to the wall? You are completely ignored or the subject is changed? Yeah, I don't like friends like that. I have come to realize that I have had a lot of people like that in my life and I am so sick of it.

I think it's time for me to just detoxify my life. I am sick of selfish friends. I am a giving, caring person and am afraid I always will be. However, I am going to stop letting people leach onto me and I am going to start being more assertive. Those of you who know me know how hard this can be, but starting now I am going to be different.

I think my biggest problem is that I base my feelings on my friendships. There are so many people out there and it's pointless to be stuck, and this goes for ALL relationships, it's just a waste of time to feel like crap. If the person you're with makes you feel crappy, leave. It's not worth it. I am done. There are too many nice people out there. I have had the oppertunity in the past few weeks to meet some amazing people. Real people, good people and friends and I am so greateful for them. No more wasted time, money, and feelings on stupid, selfish people.

PS this is not a cry for attention or sympathy. Just a little self-discovery.

Blast From the Past: Myspace Blog From 3/12/2008

I deleted my MySpace account awhile ago, but before I did I copied my blog posts from it.  I mean, they must have meant something to me at some time or I wouldn't have posted them.  I  decided to post them here on my real life blog just to have the memory of a happier time...er, well a different time anyway.  La la la, I know.  Feel free to pass on these if you like, they're more for my sake than for yours.  And I'm pretty sure I thought I was hilarious then too.  Yeah, sorry.

WYOMING SURVEY 2008
1.City you were from?
Auburn, but I wouldn't exactly call that CITY. Should probably claim Afton or even Star Valley.

2. Rocky Mountain Oysters??
What about them? Yes, I know what they are, no I've never eaten one and Yes, I have seen a man get them using his teeth. Any questions?

3. What about the Rez?
What about it? I live on it now practically. I live in good old Riverton, home sweet home.

4. Do you go to Yellowstone or Grand Teton Parks?
I freaking have to drive through Teton Park every time I go see my parents! Damn 55 mph, tourists, and slow moving animals! Not to mention the idiots who stop their vehicles in the middle of the road to look at the sweet little elk or moose or beaver. For real, people, at least pull over to the side! As for Yellowstone, I suppose I take it for granted. I've been there only twice.

5. Boysen Resevoir?
What the! It's practically my backyard! When Thom and I were dating we drove out there one night with a friend and his boyfriend, yes you heard me. Anyway, it was so nice out there, the stars and the lake and...oh, moving on....

6. What do you think about Freudenthal?
Who? The governor right?? I have not been back long enough to care. Ask me about Al Simpson though!

7. Wyoming Highway Patrol?
I used to live next to one, his name was Dave. He was the nicest guy ever. Once we took him bowling and Thom totally ran a red light and he said not to worry because we entered the intersection while the light was yellow. Nice guy.

8. Broncos?
SUCK

9. Do you hunt or know someone who does?
I don't hunt, everyone else around here does.

10. Have you been over Togwotee, Teton or South Pass?
Yes, in fact, all withn the past month, actually.

11. Can you drive in the snow?
Like a pro

12. Do you think of Mississippi when you hear "Jackson"?
No, why would I do that? (Jackson SUCKS) Sorry, bitter high school feelings never die...

13. Hows your police?
Fine, hows yours?

14. Do you fly out of SLC or DEN more often?
I have never flown out of DIA. SLC for me

15. Quads or Snowmobiles?
What the freak is a quad? Is that like a four-wheeler? because we had both, one for winter, one for summer. Ahh, nothing like the smell of snowmachine fumes on a cold winter morning.

16. Have you ever ridden a horse?
Of course I have! What do I look like, an amateur?!?!

17. What does "Black Ice Advisory" mean to you?
Watch out for idiot drivers who think 4 wheel drive means I can still go 5 over the speed limit, no problem!

18. Have you ever been to Frontier Days?
Have I? Man oh man, what a good time! Thom used to work in Cheyenne at KGWN channel 5 and used to cover Frontier Days. Come on, let's all sing, "It's your station, it's your life. It's Wyoming's channel 5" Wow, that song sucked.

19. Do you regularly incorporate "Git'r Done" into your vocabulary?
Probably more than I should

20. Do you camp?
Yes and I can't wait for this summer, I plan on teaching Izacc all the awesome tricks to play on Daddy. You know, Ice cream tub bear call, honey on the outhouse seat, saran wrap, well, let's just say it's going to be a good time!

21. Support the Cowboys?
GO POKES!!

22. You've been to the Elk Refuge for feeding?
Yeah, it's kind of a touristy thing to do though. We went when I was in third grade and I drive by both of them on my way home

23. Does the Alpine Slide mean anything to you?
Now THAT'S a good time! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! But they have those in Utah too..

24. Devil's Tower: cool or just a big hill?
Okay, so one time I almost died there. We were on Jazz Tour with the college and we decided to stop there. It was early March and so there was still a lot of snow on the ground. Bev, Christine, and I were walking around it, following the group...or so we thought. Somehow we wandered off, well, to make a long story short, there was a twisted ankle, no foot prints in the snow, the sun was going down, and man it was scary. And I tell people this story and they say you know, Devil's Tower is round, you should have just kept walking and you would have found your way. Well, you weren't there, you don't know! It's bigger than it looks, okay?!?!?!  Anyway...

25. Do you know what an osprey is?
Yeah but what does that have to do with Wyoming?  Are there a lot of them here or something?  I thought they lived near water?!?!

26. Do you know someone who has rodeoed?
Know someone?  Why yes, yes I do.  PLUS my dad was a rodeo clown for a while.  That's a good story too.

27. Do you own any guns?
Negative.  But Thom has a BB gun!  Look out neighborhood cats!  Thom's on the loose and he's gone loco on account of the BBs!  Really, c'mon.  Oh, and we have paintball guns too.  Now, I'm not going to brag, but you don't know fun until you've painted your dad's white cows pink...

28. Do you know how to fish?
Do I know how?  Yeah.  Do I like to?  Heck no.
