37 weeks and counting...

Whoo-hoo! I am really excited to be almost done. Not that I haven't enjoyed being pregnant, but man oh man am I about really to be done.

Oh an PS have I mentioned that I am not 100% that it's a boy floating around in there? Yeah, I'm not. It is just such a different experience from last time! I know, I know, there was a little wiener on the sonogram picture, but I had a dream that it was just the cord. Not to mention...

WITH IZACC:
I had a little, if any, morning sickness.
I craved Mexican food and chilli dogs.
And all things sweet, especially chocolate, gave me heartburn.
I gained a whopping 60 lbs.
I carried him low and I have the amazing stretch marks to proove it.
I got wider, like a lot wider. He was all tucked inside.

THIS TIME:
I was SO stinkin sick! All day long. It was awful.
I have craved nothing but sweets, like gummies and Dr Pepper and, believe it or not, Chocolate...and a lot of it. Wow.
With this one, so far, I'm not even up to 20 lbs yet.
I am carrying this one super super high. So high in fact that my ribs have popped out. (More on that little wonder to come...)
This one is all out in front. I mean ALL OUT in front.
Not to mention I just don't "feel" like it's a boy in there.
I don't know. I will take whatever I can get, don't get me wrong, but, well, we'll just see come D-DAY what comes out!PS: How long is my hair! I am so excited! It's about time!

Happy Birthday Brookie!

Today is my Brooke's birthday. She made this collage for me on my birthday, sorry I stole it! I just don't have ANY pictures of us from way back when, you know?
So Happy happy birthday to my favorite girl in the whole wide world. You have been my sister and my friend. I am so stinkin proud of you for the person you are and the way cute family you are raising. All my life, you were the one I looked up to and wanted to be like. You were and are my role model and I just love you bunches. You're amazing and talented and beautiful and just an all around great person. I want to call you so bad today but I have this CRUD and my voice is nearly nonexistent. So I hope you have a wonderful birthday and forgive me for using the pictures you did. I love you and miss you! You're amazing! Love love love!

PS Could I have looked any more like a monkey in that picture in the upper left hand corner?!? For real!

We're calling in sick!

That's right, we're sick. Izacc and I that is. We somehow managed to keep it at bay all winter long, but April hits and we've decided now would be a great time to sit in bed all day. We went for a short visit up to Gramma and Papa's last week. Little cousin M had a fever of 102, a nasty cough and a super snotty nose when I got there, so we tried to keep the boys seperated. The problem was that his parents just kept bringing him around (and not taking him to the Dr, might I add) So not only did Izacc and I end up catching it, but Papa, Uncle Pee and Aunt Nee got it as well. Nothing like sharing, right? There's not a lot I can take, being pregnant and all, but Izacc is all hopped up on antibiotics and on "boogie" patrol, informing me whenever there is another intruder. He has a pretty nasty ear infection as well, but you'd never know it. He's still his happy, silly self. Ah well. We're just trying our best not to get Daddy infected...

New Room

Izacc has been sleeping in a "big boy bed" for quite some time now. ("Big boy bed" being his crib with one of the sides taken off) Well, my nesting instinct hit and I suddenly felt the need to wipe down and disinfect everything in what was Izacc's room, will be the new baby's room, even though I know it's not necessary right this minute seeing as how the new babe will be sleeping in our room for at least a couple months...sometimes logic eludes me. Anyway, the time had come for Izacc to move across the hall into his new, much bigger room. And to make it a special thing for him, we have found almost all things Cars ...
New sheets (thanks Papa and Gramma) and a nice new quilt...
New curtains (handmade by Mommy, of course. Who can afford those character cartoon curtains anyway?)
And even a new bedside lamp and matching nite lite. (Big Lots is my superhero!)

There is still a clock to be hung and a dresser to be painted "Lightning McQueen" red, but I think this will be the best Cars room ever... hopefully he'll like Cars for more than another year...

To My Sweetie

Happy Valentine's Day, Thompson. I love you so much. Today marks our ninth Valentine's Day. Nine years. I am sitting here thinking that this will be the first one we will spend apart and it makes me sad. So sad. I am very sorry that we can't be together and I was thinking back at our past nine years and remembering all the amazing days we have spent together. I'm not sure why Valentine's Day is even cause for anything special because I have loved you every day of every year that has passed us, but for some reason, these single days stick out in my mind. For example:
the time I made you think I was in Riverton but really I was making you lasagna in your apartment in Cheyenne and I cut my finger and had to get stitches and you thought I had driven the four hours just to check with you before I went to the hospital.
AND
the time I was in beauty school and obsessed with those stupid kiss kiss bears, and you got me some and we made lasagna *again* and you scared the CRAP out of me by saying, "Don't scream, but look behind you..."
AND
the time I broke into your work and decorated your office and we went to Ft Collins and had to wait for three hours to get a table at Olive Garden because for some strange reason, we didn't think we would need a reservation
AS WELL AS
the time we were all but packed to move and I came home to find you had covered all the boxes up with tablecloths and had candles and a (you guessed it) lasagna in the oven and a movie waiting for me.
AND
the time I had my second surgery on my mouth and I was frantically trying to finish the bridesmaid dresses for Brandi's wedding and the house looked like a bridal shop threw up all over our dinning room table.
AND
that time when I was pregnant with Izacc and I didn't get home from work until late, and you had dinner waiting for me, even though it was really too late to be eating anything.
AND
the bittersweet day we went to Riverton to look for a place to live and found NOTHING and we stayed in a hotel and planned out new life in a new town.
AND
when we, as a family, went out at 5 pm to avoid the dinner rush, with a reservation this time, only to find we were the ONLY people who ate that early and we came home and had some darn good brownies and put the baby to bed early.

I am so grateful for all the time we've had and for all the time we have to come. I am grateful and proud to be the mother of your children. I can't wait for our new addition and out next exciting adventure to begin. I am honored that you chose me to be at your side for always and hope that I make you happy. I hope you know that there is no one else I could ever imagine growing old with, raising a family with, sharing my secrets and fears with, and am so excited for whatever the future holds for us. I know that it will never be boring and most likely won't even be in the same place :) but whatever is in store, I look forward to facing it with you. I can't imagine my life without you in it. Through our past happiness and pain, the bad times as well as the good, you have been there for me and I am so grateful for that. I only hope I have returned the favor, and promise to do so forever. I know I am not anywhere near perfect and I can't say that I ever will be. I try my best to do all I can to make you happy. I will always be here. And I love you. And I miss you.
Happy Valentine's Day.

PS
We need to take more picture of just us. They are pretty few and far between...

Spreading some Valentine's Day love!

I just saw this on a couple of my firend's blogs and I thought it sounded like fun so I decided to play along as well! To show the love this week and celebrate Valentine's Day, here is what you do...
The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going. Then come back, let me know you're going to play and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift! If I don't have your e-mail address already, please include it in your post, or e-mail it to me at camrae27@yahoo.com . Remember, only the first 3 comments will receive a gift from me, so be quick!

Camie Needs...

Ha ha! I have seen this on quite a few blogs and just had to try it! Okay, I'm bored and my husband had won't be back til tomorrow so...

Google your name and "needs" and post the top 10 things that YOU NEED!

1. Camie needs your suggestions and positive comments. (Hey, who doesn't want positive comments?)

2. Camie needs a new home. (aww, is there something wrong with the one I've got?)

3. Camie needs and audience. (ha ha, this one is funny...and if you know me, well, then you know how true...)

4. Camie needs a high-powered lubricant? (um yeah. Next...)

5. Camie needs to know numbers of people coming so that he has an idea of numbers expected etc etc. (well, who doesn't right? I mean it's just common courtesy people come on!)

6. Camie needs to correctly ink the design. (Yes I'm sure I would if I were a tattoo artist)

7. Camie needs to stop getting kidnapped so many times already. (boy do I ever...wait, what?)

8. Camie needs a blog. (um no, I already have one thanks)

9. Camie needs sources or references. (again, I'm sure I would, were I doing something that required such things.)

10. Camie needs all the floof she can get. (again...what?)

On an interesting note, I found out that there is such a thing as the Camie awards...CAMIE is an acronym for "Character And Morality In Entertainment". The CAMIE awards are given to films which emphasize character and morality. They were established to "encourage the production and awareness of outstanding, uplifting, and entertaining motion pictures with positive role models for building character, overcoming adversity, correcting unwise choices, strengthening families, living moral lives, and solving life’s problems with integrity and perseverance."

--too funny, no?
