Dear Daddy, pt. 1

Hey, guys. Izacc here. I want to write a letter to my Dad because he is far away and I miss him a lot. Since he wasn’t here today, Mommy and I took a bunch of pictures to help him feel a little like he was here.

The morning started with some cartoons and some of this

I really like the letter cereal and ate me a whole bunch of it this morning. And afternoon. Okay, I had two bowls for lunch too, okay? I said I like it!

This was a new box this morning…

Mom says it’s a good this cereal is only a dollar, whatever that means…

Okay, so while I was enjoying my lunch of delicious cereal, Mommy and Ian had some of this

Shells and cheese. Blauck! Not for me!!

Oh and did I mention that I finished off all the fruit punch packets for you? Yeah, I just kept filling up my cup and pouring a whole packet in. Mommy didn’t realize I was doing it and when she did, I told her that “when Daddy finds out I drank all his soda he is going to be so proud of me.” Direct quote.

So then Ian and I took a nap. I don’t know what Mommy did while we were sleeping, but I’m sure it was fun because when I woke up, her whole bed was full of piles and piles of folded clothes.

So many that I couldn’t see the TV! I told her to move them.

Then we watched some more cartoons and had some licorice. It was fun, except Mommy kept taking the licorice away from me! So when she was cleaning up Ian’s room,

I took the bag and finished it off!

She didn’t even know! I am so sneaky!!

Well, after that I was hungry for some dinner. So Mommy made me some noodles.

Tuna casserole.

Wait, what? That’s not what she told ME!

Oh well, I ate it anyway.

Covered in Parmesan cheese of course.

Just like yesterday, remember?

Mmmmm…parmesean hot dogs…mmmmm…

Anyway, Ian had noodles too.

But he also had green beans and something else Mommy made.

I do not like green beans! Mommy offered me peas and I said “No that’s just gross!”

Then I decided I hadn’t danced all day! So I told Mommy to turn on Kids Place Live and I danced

and ate

and ate

and danced

Ian enjoyed his dinner, I think

he kept rubbing his nose and making a big mess on his face.

And he’s been drinking out of my cup all day! Mommy tells me that I am a big boy and I don’t need it anymore, but when she’s not looking, I drink out of it too. Shhh! Don’t tell her okay?

So after dinner we loaded the dishwasher

And Ian and I took a bath.

While I finished my bath, Mommy put Ian to bed.

Daddy! Did you know Ian has Spongebob teeth just like me?!

I saw them in the mirror (again) today!

He said “Baa” which means goodnight Daddy, I love you.

I just know it.

Well, then Mommy and me went to my room to clean up. Ian and I played in here today and it was fun.

I beat Mommy putting my toys away! I was so fast!

Then Mommy let me hang up my own shirts!

I’m getting pretty good!

See?

So all my animals are ready for bed

I read Mommy a story about “a Mommy and a Daddy and her went in the dark and a wolf, a very creature come. And her was very, very nice and her carry you and then her made it to your home. Daddy went in the dark and there was a very wild animal. And then he sting Izacc and Daddy carried him home and he was a good Daddy. The end

So, how do you like that story I read?”

It was a good story.

Well Daddy, I’m going to bed now. I will talk to you tomorrow.

I love you and miss you.

What in the world have I been doing lately you may ask?

Well, not blogging, thats for sure!

Sorry.

BUT I have a whole lotta catching up to do.

And a lot of fun pictures and stuff I've been working on to share.

Out of the mouths of babes...

Izacc asked me tonight how the girl in my tummy was going to get out.
Erm, what the what now?
Girl in my tummy?
He said that yeah, the girl in there like Ian.
I'm not exactly sure what he's trying to say here.
So I asked him if that means he wants a sister.
He said no.
He wants a puppy.
A boy puppy.
Not like Zoe because she's a girl.
A boy puppy to play with that walks on his arms.
No, not his arms, what are they called?
Legs.
Yeah, legs.


Ahh, my lovely son. What did I ever do without you.
PS He also informed me that I will be having 5 children. Not 5 more, just 5 altogether.

Allow me now to vent, por favor

I've been gone. WAY gone. I looked at the last time I posted, nearly a month ago! We had a wonderful holiday! We went to Star Valley, Salt Lake, back to Star Valley, back to Riverton, on to Casper and back. It was busy, that's for sure. Enjoyable for the most part, but a lot of traveling. And here's what gets me. We're not even home one night, not one, and it all falls apart!

Could someone come over here and explain to me exactly what the crap is going on with my stinky old body? I have literally been in bed for the past 4 days. 4 days! 4 days of cleaning up and sorting and putting away the Christmas decorations and gifts and laundry missed. 4 days of it taunting me everywhere I turn.

I should be grateful for the vacation but it has not exactly been a picnic. Not to go into the gorey details, but it's been one thing on top of another. A stomach virus turned into a migraine turned into a deep nasty cough/sore throat. As if that weren't bad enough, mother nature decided to come crap all over everything.

I shouldn't complain, I suppose. I had a good run. It lasted much longer than it did with Izacc. A little over a year and a half without the cursed event. I was enjoying not having to worry about it. It's just a big bummer.

And it hurts.

And I'm sorry to be such a crabby patty.

I would LOVE to get my butt in gear and clean up the hurricane I currently call home. But for some reason beyond my control I have been put on an annoying form of bed rest.

If I could just sleep it off, now, that would be a nice little miracle. No such luck. Thing One and Thing Two keep their schedules just so that as one is sleeping, the other is waking. And vise versa. And Daddy went back to work, both of them.

So here I sit...in bed...trying to keep some graham cracker down...listening to Izacc talk to himself through the wall and Ian's lullabies through the monitor. I'm over the moon about both of them. No doggy old sick week is gonna change that. Just wish I could be a better Mama on days like these.

Ah well. Let's raise our glass of 7-up and toast (mmm...toast) to a better week. Here's hoping!

Cute Advent Calendar

So its December 13th already. Do you hear me people?! DECEMBER 13th!! What the crap happened?! Where did it all go?
Well, I made an advent calendar this year. I finished it just in time for the first day, and am just now getting around to posting about it. It was really fun and turned out great!
It's got that yummy Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark in each pocket and can I just say Mmmmmm....

Yeah, that's the top of Izacc's head. What can I say? I love that kid.
